Detailed Description

The church is located behind the Hinton Ampner house but accessible off a road to back of this site. This Saxon Style church is noticeable due to its location being straight of the main facade of this road. As a church it is quite conventional with its use of stone for construction. However the close proximity of headstone to the entrance of the church also creates a quite humbling atmosphere as you draw near to the main doorway. The building is described to have had various changes from it primary construction, such as c13 lancets, also having different features designed by different architects along the timeline. The church itself is not loud in its features when compared to other churches of a similar time and style such as those found on Corhampton.
